Wanted to purchase a car that was advertised for 20k but not interested in calling me back.
I would have given 5 stars for the replacement locks on my vehicle following a recall on my L200. However, (and I don't like to leave negative feedback like this normally) I am giving them 2 stars after the appalling customer service from the chap with glasses and trouser braces behind the desk. I arrived at 8am, and signed the necessary paperwork handing over my keys.... as I did so, I said, 'I do have a couple of other niggles with the vehicle' ... the reply, a very rude and dismissive 'Sorry, cant take on any more work today'. I was about to expand, but I was livid with his response and felt it best to just calm down for a bit. He asked for my number to call when ready, but I said I needed to wait. He pointed at the customer area and said to take a seat. That was it. A young lady came in after me and was dealt with by a different very happy cheery chap, who escorted her to the customer area, chatted away and told her to help herself to a drink. I had none of that from the cheery soul I dealt with. The work was done well within the 2 hours as quoted and I presume all ok so well done to the gents who did the work speedily. I do however still have the orange warning light showing a key symbol (no idea what it is, I'm about to google it and contact a different dealership), an arm rest that is still hanging off (I left it on the passenger seat but it was ignored) and an issue with my rear canopy. I didn't necessarily expect the bits to be looked at there and then as I appreciate that garages can be busy, but a simple quick chat/advice etc and potentially booking it back in for these things to be looked at would have been simple and effective customer service. I would not return to this garage for sales or for any service matters purely based on this very rude, uninterested man.
Park on the road right outside the dealership as parking is non existent near the showroom. They normally have a fair stock of different vehicles. You may have to wait a day or two to test drive the model with the specifications you want. You may also need to wait 12-26 weeks for a factory order as the vehicles are getting popular. That is also represented in the small discounts on offer. If you ask you should get a minimum of 1500-1750. If you dont ask you dont get!
